বালাচাও এক ধরনের রেডি টু ইট খাবার যা চিংড়ি শুটকি, পেঁয়াজ, রসুন, তেল ও বিভিন্ন মসলার সমন্বয়ে তৈরি করা হয়। একে চিংড়ি চানাচুর বলেও অভিহিত করা হয়। গরম গরম ভাতের সাথে একটুখানি বালাচাও মিশিয়ে খেতে দারুণ লাগে। তাছাড়া মুড়ি মাখাতেও অনেকে ব্যবহার করে থাকেন।

চিংড়ি, পেঁয়াজ, মরিচ, রসুন, সরিষার তেল, লবন এবং সিক্রেট মসলা।

সাধারণত বালাচাও তৈরিতে সয়াবিন তেল ব্যবহৃত হয়। কিন্তু খাস বালাচাও তৈরি করা হয়ে থাকে খাঁটি সরিষার তেলে। তাছাড়া চিংড়ি থেকে শুরু করে এতে ব্যবহৃত প্রতিটি উপাদান বাছাইকৃত এবং গুণগত মানে সেরা।
